Gothic Window Candle Holder Workshop (2 Hours)
Step into the studio for this atmospheric 2-hour gothic window candle holder workshop, where you’ll create a striking sculptural piece entirely from scratch. Designed to be both hands-on and informative, this session will guide you through the process of building a candle (or fairy light) holder made from five interconnected gothic windows, carefully assembled into a single form.
You’ll be supported through each stage in the correct order,gaining a deeper understanding of the nature of clay, from timing and moisture to structure and strength. Throughout the workshop you’ll learn essential hand-building skills including cutting, scoring, slipping, smoothing, and joining, ensuring your piece is both beautiful and durable.
Once the structure is complete, you’ll use the remaining time to bring your holder to life with surface detail. Choose to:
Draw in brick textures for realism and architectural depth
Add vines, moss, and leaves for a softer, more whimsical feel
What’s included:
2-hour guided workshop
All clay, tools, and materials
Glazing and firing of your finished piece
After the workshop, your candle holder will be left to dry slowly until it’s strong enough to fire. I’ll then fire and glaze the piece for you, with your finished work ready to collect in 4–6 weeks.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and more experienced makers alike, offering a rewarding balance of technical skill-building and creative expression, perfect for anyone drawn to gothic architecture, candlelight, and handmade ceramic objects with presence and character.

You have 7 days to cancel your booking. After this time, no refunds will be offered but bookings can be amended up to 28 days prior to your booking. After this time, no refunds or amendments are permitted.
This is an open style event and not a private booking so you may find there are up to 1 more attendees on the same booking if there are spaces left.
If we cancel the session, a full refund or the option to rearrange will be offered.
Group bookings

Group bookings are for a maximum of 5 participants. Due to space, no more than this will be permitted.
Individual places on a group booking will not be refunded. If a member of your party can no longer attend, it will be up to you to fill this space or pay the ticket of the missing party member.

If you cancel a booking less than one month before the class, the entire booking cost still applies. No refunds will be given.
